Mad Libs

Here's a fun activity you can add to your Moodle course for ELA.  Mad Libs offers a widget that can be put on your own website.  Simply copy and paste the HTML code they offer into an HTML box on your Moodle course.

If you are interested in this, but are uncertain of how to copy/paste HTML, let alone what HTML is, please do not hesitate to contact me, nasonb@sad1.org.

Adding Printers - For Students

Below, I have put together a real simple presentation on how to add printers to your MLTI Macbook device that I did for student-use.  This presentation can be a great little tool for your students as well to refer to.  If you are interested, you can add this to your Moodle course, so that when students need help, you can direct them to these slides in your course.  If you need any assistance, let me know - nasonb@sad1.org.

How To Create a PDF Easily

Wanna go paperless?  Here's a great video from Apple you can show your students (and learn yourself).  It's easy!

Add this video to your Moodle course.  It's only 7MB.  Go to Mac Quick Tips .  Simply download it and upload it in your course.  Moodle automatically recognizes the file format and is instantly playable upon entry of Moodle's web page*.

*You must upload the file to your "Files" in your Moodle account, then add a hyperlink to some text that links it to this file in your "Files" database.  For more explanation, please contact nasonb@sad1.org.

MLTI Minute - Stickies

I would like to give a Shout-Out to MLTI's MLTI Minute.  I'm not sure if any of you are aware of this.  MLTI posts, regularly, easy to swallow, roughly one (1) minute videos featureing several important tid-bits and gold nuggets of information about making the most of your MLTI Macbook laptop.  From keystroke shortcuts to explanations of all of the programs on your device.  You can access these right from MLTI's website.  Each video can be downloaded from the site.

In my travels I find several faculty that love to use Stickies on their Macbook device.  I want to feature a great little bundle of videos for those who love to use their Stickies and want to learn how to make them work for you more.

Here are the links below to five, 1-min, videos that reveal some important features of Stickies
You can also subcribe to MLTI Minute podcasts through iTunesU in your iTunes application; every MLTI posts a new video podcast your iTunes library will automatically retrieve it.

I will post something later explaining the great resource of iTunesU later.
